Operating through the Florida Patient Safety Corporation (a Florida 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation created in 2004), Florida’s PSO:

• Serves as a learning organization and assists you to improve the quality of healthcare and patient safety.
• Creates a secure environment to collect and analyze data to identify and reduce risks associated with patient care. 
• Houses reportes Patient Safety Work Product (PSWP) is any data, reports, records, memoranda, analyses, such as root cause analysis, but does not include a patient's medical record, billing, and discharge information or any other original patient or provider record or reports required by law. Features data reporting consistant with federally mandated common formats.
